Facebook’s 1st Advert. It is very dramatic for a website that allows you to upload photos and poke people.

Drama. Long Pauses. Pianos. These things are like a Facebook advert.

*Way too deep

I assume this is suppose to be a response to the new Myspace, but if anything, I think this makes Facebook seem weak, in that it feels it needs a response at all. And then they go off talking about chairs, bridges, and the universe, and suddenly I feel like Facebook doesn’t get me at all.

I’m not sure why social networks, including Google(+), feel that they need to tap into this emotionally sad part of my brain in order to get me to connect with their product. Really, I never use any of Google’s products, or Facebook, and have this life altering experience, in which I thank god I have the ability to use their product. And while I’m sure some people have their story about how they connected with a long lost relative from across the world, I just have stories of sharing fun memories with my friends, and I think that is something many more people can relate to. And that is something that I would look for in a Facebook advertisement.

This truly does feel forced to me, and as a result, it falls flat and really makes me feel nothing.
