This is bad because I’m in advertising, but it seriously annoys me when people praise Red Bull for the jump the other day. Yes, we all know it’s super smart of Red Bull to back this, but let’s focus on the man who risked his life, okay?

*Because I need to disagree with you on a regular basis

Without Red Bull, the jump wouldn’t have been possible.

And I really respect Red Bull for a number of reasons. Notably the fact that they haven’t disclosed the amount of money they spent on the project, and they stuck with the project despite setbacks, including a lawsuit that delayed the project for more than a year.

So if anything, Red Bull should receive as much, if not more praise than Baumgartner. Yes he did something that had a high risk factor, but to say that he risked he life, seems to imply that he wasn’t the most prepared that someone in his situation could be.
