- A group of students calling themselves Ohio University Students for Romney used The National’s Fake Empire in a pro-Romney ad and attracted the ire of the band’s frontman Matt Berninger.
If you remember in 2008, there was an official Obama video that used an instrumental version of ” Fake Empire,” and it was excellent.
