*It’s interesting when actions so familiar to certain parts of the world spill into our own

Literally takes a minute. I sincerely hope these charges get dropped. Outrageous.

*This actually happens a lot in the US.

It’s an issue that affects many individuals who have “committed” similar crimes. I’ll post the article I have once I find it, but it goes into the details of how easily it is to become a “sex offender” and how the sometime lifelong consequences of that sentence can drastically impact someones life.

Discussing this case specifically though, I do understand that as inane as the details of this prosecution may seem, it is extremely difficult to change these laws because of the precedents that may be set as a result.

Final Embrace

Every time I look back to this photo, I feel uncomfortable — it haunts me. It’s as if they are saying to me, we are not a number — not only cheap labor and cheap lives. We are human beings like you. Our life is precious like yours, and our dreams are precious too. — Taslima Akhter.

A wildfire threatening 4,000 homes northwest of Los Angeles, California is about 30 percent contained on Saturday as humidity and cooler temperatures are helping firefighters.

The fire blackened about 28,000 acres of rugged brush land since starting on Thursday. There is no forecast for containment and the fire was not expected to be under control until May 13, Ventura County Fire Department spokesman Tom Kruschke said.

My daughter wasn’t bullied to death, she was disappointed to death. Disappointed in people she thought she could trust, her school, and the police. She was my daughter, but she was your daughter too. For the love of God do something.
